Liverpool recorded what was an easy three points as they beat West Bromwich Albion by two goals to one.
The goal they conceded however meant they wouldn’t be able to rise to the top of the table just yet. The Reds took the lead early, with Sadio Mane and Phillipe Coutinho finding the back of the net in the first half.
West Brom’s Gareth McAuley however scored a late volley that meant Arsenal remained ahead of Liverpool on goal difference.
Coutinho was instrumental for the Reds on the field, sparking the move that led to the first goal, before getting his own name on the score sheet in the 35th minute.
